Award Rules
All nominations should include the following three items:

Nominations must adhere to these guidelines to be considered:
- A completed online application form, see below.
- A minimum one-page statement as to how the candidate meets the criteria for which he/she is being nominated.
- Additional items such as letters of support, newspaper articles, press releases, pictures, statements from colleagues, pamphlets, flyers, or any other media related to this nomination that will assist the committee in making an informed decision. You may submit as many as ten documents. Each document must not exceed three pages in length. All documents must be in pdf format.

- Your candidate name, home address, phone number and work address.
- Nominator(s) name, home address, work address and phone numbers.
- Submit one document explaining why the candidate should be considered for this award. This should be no longer than three pages in length and must be in pdf format.
- Please include additional items such as letters of support, newspaper articles, press releases, pictures, statements from colleagues, pamphlets, flyers, or any other media related to this nomination that will assist the committee in making an informed decision. You may submit as many as ten documents. Each document must not exceed three pages in length. All documents must be in pdf format.
- You may also submit any video or audio files that might support this nomination.
Nominations must adhere to these guidelines to be considered:
- All awards will be presented at the annual MASL conference.
- There shall be only one individual or group recognized per award.
- The Awards and Citations Committee will select the recipient.
- Information should be clear, concise, and based on that award's specific criteria.
- All nominations must be submitted electronically by this year's deadline of July 1, 2023 to be considered by the Awards and Citations Committee.
- The Awards and Citations Committee will notify all nominators of the final decisions prior to the MASL conference.

- Roger Ashley Freedom to Read Award
- Ruby Brown Award for Individual Excellence
- School Librarian of the Year
- School Librarian/Teacher Collaboration Award
- School Library Program of the Year
- Service Award for Adult Volunteers
- Service Award for School Administrators
